Vickie Sutton

I am very excited to be joining Lanesend this year as the new Headteacher. I have lived on the Isle of Wight for over 20 years and have taught at several different schools on the Island. Most recently, I was Head of School at a large primary school in Southampton. I am passionate about teaching and love to see children learning, exploring and developing their confidence.

I love reading, walking, gardening and watching films but most of all I love to travel. As a family, we have travelled far and wide, from Uganda to China as well as nearer to home. I also spent three years teaching in Romania which was a wonderful experience. After more than 30 years of teaching, from Reception to Year 8, I am delighted to be joining Team Lanesend and I'm so looking forward to our journey ahead.
