Lanesend's Referendum on Europe: Should I stay or should I go?

Lanesend Primary School held their own referendum on Europe as part of their weekly whole school debate. The children from Year 1 through to Year 6 followed the news closely and held regular discussions in class over the week before voting. The result was 161 members voted to remain whist 80 voted to leave.
Charlie, Year 6, representing the remain vote stated that "Security and defence of the realm were an important factor in his decision". Logan, Year 3, added that "We are much stronger as a team".
For the leave campaign Lorelai, Year 4, said "We pay too much money to the EU". Ashton, Year 4, agreed adding "We should have the choice of what we spend our money on".
