Emily Fallick

Learning Support Assistant.

After studying youth work at university and then working as a youth worker for 3 years, I decided to have a change and went abroad to teach English as a second language. After 1 year in Asia and 3 years in Spain, I decided it was time to come back home to the IOW. I started working at Lanesend in June 2019 and am really enjoying being here. This year I am working in year 4 and year 6 as well a few days after school in The Den.

How could I encourage my daughter to follow her passion if I wasn’t doing it myself?! I

Before that I worked for the Ministry of Defence. I have also served in the Army for nine years. The time spent in this school has been one of my happiest, this is mainly due to the staff and the amazing children that I get to work with everyday.

I then worked for a long time as an administrator and it wasn’t until I had my own daughter that I realised I wanted a change of career. How could I encourage my daughter to follow her passion if I wasn’t doing it myself?! I
