Here is what you need to know about our Christmas Fayre this year!
Raffle tickets: Raffle tickets were sent home with the children today. Each child has initially been allocated two books of 5 tickets to sell, and again this year we are holding an ‘inter-class competition’ to see which class can sell the most, so please ask for more books if you
think that you can be our top seller. The winning class will get £30 to spend on what they choose so get selling! Please return any unsold tickets so that we can sell them on the night of the Christmas Fayre.
Monday 13th November: Bring a Bottle! We are asking for donations of full, in-date bottles. Squash, ketchup, lemonade, shampoo –anything! The bottles can be glass or plastic so get rummaging in your cupboards. You may bring your bottles to school on the morning
of Monday 13th November.
Monday 20th November: Hamper Donations Again this year the children will be creating class hampers of goodies to be added to the raffle prizes. There is a different theme for each hamper for each class (please remember that any food items must be nut-free) and we are asking for donations to be brought in to classes from Monday 20th November as follows:
Year R classes Sweets
Year 1 classes Ladies toiletries
Year 2 classes Christmas Food
Year 3 classes Biscuits
Year 4 classes Men’s toiletries
Year 5 classes Tinned food
Year 6 classes Chocolate
We will also be running a ‘Teddy Tombola’ so please bring in any unwanted teddy bears/soft toys at any time from now onwards.
Friday 8th December: Mufti Day We are holding a mufti day in return for non-perishable items such as Bric-a-Brac, toys, tombola items, tins of food, sweets etc. Any donations are really appreciated (must be nut-free!)
Monday 11th December: Perishable items On the morning of the Christmas Fayre we would like donations of perishables – cakes, mince pies and biscuits etc (must be nut-free!). Christmas Fayre 5pm – 8pm.
If you would like to help at the Christmas Fayre in any way please let us know. We especially need face painters! We always need more people to lend a hand and it really does make a difference to the atmosphere and the children’s overall experience when we have lots of families in school. It really is a case of ‘the more the merrier’! Please call our ‘Aunt Flo’ (Andrea) on 293233 if you can lend your support. Also, if you know of any companies who we could approach for donations for our raffle please let us know.
