Home Learning

We have high expectations of all children. We encourage all children to read daily and parents to read with their child to help them progress and to help establish positive learning habits and reading for enjoyment from a young age. Not all homework is based around a worksheet or involves writing; your child might be asked to look for something and bring it along at the start of a future lesson. Any homework is clearly explained and dates for completion (where applicable) set. Different children learn in different ways. We like to try a variety of strategies to learn things such as spellings and tables. We also have a homework grid, which allows the child to independently complete homework and gain pride in their achievements.
