2019-2020 is my tenth year at Lanesend. I first joined the team in 2010 when we were still known as Love Lane. Having been a pupil at Love Lane myself it truly felt like ‘coming home’ and it has been great to see the school evolve and grow so incredibly during my time here.
Before I joined Lanesend, I worked at Sandham Middle School for sixteen years. It was during this time that I really developed a love for English and drama in particular, and these are subjects which I still class as my ‘favourites.’ I am now entering my 26th year of teaching and I still feel so privileged to play such a major part in the lives of so many children. I love the fact that every day brings something new and the opportunity to make a difference.
In my spare time I am a massive Formula One fan and I have been lucky to see Lewis Hamilton win four out of the five British Grand Prix’s I have been to. I also love visiting new places, although London is top of my places to go for interesting walks and entertainment! Living on the Isle of Wight also makes me extremely happy and I always look forward to events held here such as the ‘Isle of Wight Festival.’
I look forward to what this year, and all future years at Lanesend, hold.
