I am delighted to have joined the team at Lanesend and feel very fortunate to be able to work with all the fantastic children, families and adults in the school.

Before qualifying as a teacher, I travelled, lived and worked in several countries around the world. I taught English in schools below the slopes of Mount Fuji in Japan; worked at an international school in one of the most hazardous cities in the world in Honduras; and spent time enjoying the skiing and snowboarding in one of the lesser known ski resort in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

I love learning about other cultures and particularly languages: in my travels around the world I have always tried to learn a few words in every country I have visited (although don’t test me now!)

I have also taught more recently at an international school in Mallorca as well a little closer to home in Swindon, Wiltshire (home of the magic roundabout!) After all these experiences, which have certainly helped to shape me as an individual and as a teacher, it has been lovely to come back home - with my family - to the Isle of Wight.
