I started at Lanesend in 2012 and I couldn’t be happier in my role!
My journey started at Lanesend by enrolling on a Business and Administration Apprenticeship for two years learning about Additional Educational Needs. Since then, my role has developed and grown and I now support the children emotionally, develop projects for the children and support them to find their full potential! During my time at Lanesend, I have loved watching the children learn life skills, build relationships and share positive memories. I have completed a number of qualifications including an SEN qualification and a Counselling Course throughout my time here – I am always looking for something new to learn myself. I have started my Open University degree - maybe one day I may even consider training as a Teacher!
There has to be one project here at Lanesend that has become my passion – Junior Rock Challenge! We have had many wow moments in my time here which include a number of awards, recognitions and finally winning our region with our performance of ‘Where the Wild Things Are’. I love watching the children shine with confidence on stage in their extravagant costumes, hair and makeup! I love the creativity of our performances and each year we strive to make our performance even bigger and better than the previous year.
There is nothing more important to me than supporting the children, we are a family here at Lanesend.
