Maria Revert-West

I have worked at Lanesend Primary School since September 2017.  I am currently working as a Learning Support Assistant in year Six. 

During my own years at school, my ambition was to work in a primary school. However, I decided to take on different challenges on my career path and enjoyed being a full time mother too.  My love of working with children shone through therefore I felt It was time to get back to my original dream and now I’m lucky enough to be part of Team Lanesend. 

Outside of school, I enjoy being a part of the Isle of Wight Garrison, which is a screen accurate costuming group. We all volunteer and raise money for local charities through attending events dressed as characters from famous movies. I am also lucky enough to be a part of another group - The IW prop crew, we build screen accurate props. We raise thousands of pounds every year. I am extremely proud of the work we do.
