Tea Dance 2016

As part of our Leap in Time topic, KS1 wrote to local care homes, friends and family members over 60 years old to invite them to the ‘Tea Dance’ which took place on Monday 7th March.

Our guests arrived in school where they were interviewed and filmed by the children. These films will form part of a film library to be stored at the new Learning Resource Centre in a restored chapel at Northwood Cemetery.

The children offered tea and cake to all of our guests and concluded with a Waltz and Foxtrot dance.

What a lovely afternoon it was here at Lanesend. Thank you to all those who donated cakes for the event, they looked and tasted fantastic!
