I am a Community Governor who joined the Governing Body in July 2015. I was recruited due to my experience in running CLARITY, a national charity, based in London, which provides employment and training for people with disabilities.

I’m fortunate to only work 4 days per week and now that my son has started in Reception at Lanesend, I’m free to undertake governor, and other, duties in school on Fridays. I have a long-standing passion for primary education and feel privileged that I have the opportunity to make a difference in such an exciting and vibrant school.

As well as being part of the Full Governing Body, I am part of the Teaching and Learning Group and head up the new Strategy and Marketing Group. I have just started a mentor role in Year 6, where I am now the assigned Governor. I also have lots of experience in sports coaching and hope to put this to good use throughout the school. Fridays are busy, but very fun days!

I love spending time outdoors, walking with my son and my dog, Toby, cycling and playing cricket (badly) for Godshill CC.
