I have been a Governor at Lanesend for two years and am Chair of the Money Group.

My background is in finance so it made sense for me to join this group and put the skills I have gained in my working life to good use. I worked at Moore Stephens, a local accountancy practice for 21 years where I gained my professional accountancy qualifications. I am now working at GKN Aerospace where I am a Finance Manager and have been there for 19 months.

My daughter is in Year 3 at Lanesend and is enjoying every aspect of our lovely school, where she continues to blossom.

I live in Cowes with my partner and as well as my daughter I have two older sons, one currently at University, and the other playing football in Bournemouth, and I love nothing more than spending time with them all.

I became a governor in order to use my time and experience to support the school, staff and children and to continually improve to become an outstanding learning environment. I believe we are a really special school, mainly due to all the people involved in it and if I can contribute a little to its success then it’s a well worthwhile experience.
