Cardboard Challenge Day

We held a school wide competition for the children to come up with their own 'whole new world' design. Each class voted to nominate their favourite, these were then put to a whole school vote to decide the winner. There were a few ideas that came out on top, these were then merged. Claudia Summers came up with the concept of different new worlds behind different doors, many of which remained as per her original design. Alfie Hough was chosen for his idea of a City Scene, Poppy Gadsby with a Fantasy Scene and Penny Grove with an Underwater Kingdom. Each year group’s creations were placed into the hall, staff assembled these to create one huge installation. The commitment the children have shown towards this, very special, project was inspiring. The children finally got to view the finished product today, one child (Imogen B – Y4) even commented “I want to cry but I don’t know why”.
