Welcome to Lanesend Primary School

Lanesend Primary School is bright, colourful, fun and optimistic; just like everyone in it.

We are an open primary school, providing education to children in our local community of Cowes and welcome others from around the Island. 

We are very lucky to have a highly skilled and dedicated team. We take pride in seeing ourselves as a 21st Century learning centre in which our children and staff are supported and encouraged to enjoy their work and take every opportunity to develop and maximise their skills. At our school we are striving to be outward looking, seeking strong parental partnerships in helping foster our children's development. We are proud of the positive relationships that we enjoy with them and the warm feedback we receive. 

As of the 1st September 2014 we became an academy school allowing us to create our own vision for our children, staff and families.

Year One poems published

Well done to all these children from Year One who have won a competition to have their poems published in a book called My First Acrostic Poems. Pupil council work towards our eco-award status

Pupil council had our first visit from Rob Hunter our parent eco-warrior. Rob is supporting the pupil council to achieve eco- schools status. After a presentation by Rob we went and planted some new trees on our field. Then we discovered we have nearly achieved our bronze award already! read more...
